Community Garden Project
The demand is present; people want to garden together. The long term sustainability will be maintained by a collaboration with the TAMU administration, faculty, student groups, and community members. [link]
Maroon Bike Project
This is a project aimed towards educating the community about bicycles, promoting the use of bikes over the use of vehicles, and setting up a community bike shop where students can come work or simply rent a bike for a semester. [link]
Maroon is Green
Banding together several organizations within the college, The College of Architecture has started a campaign for the A&M campus to up the ante on recycling, sustainability, and being more green in general. This includes everything from energy efficient lights, providing more bike racks, double-sided printing, and providing more recycle bins around campus. [link]
Fair Trade Exchange
This group is for individuals interested in working to bring fair trade products to Texas A&M and the BCS area. We encourage participants to become empowered in this community by becoming buyers and SELLERS of fair-trade goods. [link]
